Setting up advanced labs (starting from 2Lakh rupees) under expert guidance of UK Robotix will enable participating schools to most likely get 20Lakh funding from government to setup an Atal Tinkering Lab.
Government of India has already offered 20Lakh funding to selected 2,441 schools to set up Atal Tinkering Labs out of 25,000 applications across India.
UK Robotix can help set up Advanced Tinkering Labs to teach basics of technology.
The Government of India has realised the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, to support this need the government will be helping schools to set up Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL).
ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. The vision is to ‘Cultivate 1 Million children in India as Neoteric1 Innovators’. (Government of India)
Our educational visionary and robotics specialist Pankaj Bagga has identified a gap through intense research and by conducting discussion seminars with several schools in India (Punjab State Schools). The gap identified by Pankaj is the lack of understanding of basics of technology and critical and problem solving thinking in primary and secondary school age children.
This lack of understanding results in children not feeling confident to use already set up Tinkering Labs and those who do use the labs do not use to its full potential. There are several equipment’s in existing Tinkering Labs like soldering irons, drills, hammers, saw’s etc. that have never been used.
UK Robotix will help setup similar laboratories like ATL but with an aim to equip children with basic understanding of technology, please contact us to find out more.
